Edmonds Underwater Park is a famous dive site in the northern suburb of the town of Edmonds in Seattle. It's by far the most popular dive site in this region and of breathtaking beauty. The park is 27 acres in size. It was laid out in the 1960s by Bruce Higgins and has been developed and maintained by volunteers since then. Divers meet every Saturday and Sunday to work on the park which is now a protected natural area for not only marine life but for birds aswel. The best time to dive Edmonds Underwater Park is in the months of August and September as the water is less cold and visibility is generally better. What can you see? Artificial reefs, wrecks, lush vegetation of sea lettuce and red and yellow algae, numerous objects and a great biodiversity. Too much to mention. Edmonds Underwater Park is something you have to discover for yourself.

Particulars

Edmonds Underwater Park is located directly north of the Edmonds Washington State Ferry terminal and is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Located directly on the main road, you can park near the beach. First visit Edmonds Underwater Sports to fill up your tank and buy an underwater map, the profit of which are used for park maintenance. Then enter the water and swim out 100 yards until you reach the park. Follow the trail to find all the objects.

Warnings

Watch out for boat traffic at Edmonds Underwater Park. Use a surface buoy if necessary. Poor visibility in May. Outdoor shower closed in winter. Parking time is limited to 4 hours. Permit required for night diving. You're diving in a protected nature rese
